Job Summary
As a US FOODS Driver, you will play a critical role in our team and be one of the important faces of our organization. Your efforts will have a direct impact on our customers by delivering our products to their drop-off site.
Roles and Duties:
- Transport goods securely by driving trucks to customers and arriving at scheduled delivery times
- Use a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or physical exertion to remove goods from the trailer and place them in the assigned customer storage spots
- Make sure the delivery is correct by confirming with customers and collecting the appropriate signatures
- Conduct transactions with customers for collections and payments as needed
- Execute customer service responsibilities effectively to improve client relationships
- Check equipment meticulously before commencing a journey and after its conclusion
Physical Requirements
- The job role entails the continual lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of products weighing from 20 to over 80 pounds throughout the shift
- Proficiently handling inclement weather and managing frequent stops (more than 10 per shift) is a key aspect of the role
What You Bring to the Table
- Register online for the FMCSA Clearinghouse services
- The age limit is set at 21 years
- The individual must have a valid CDL Class A from their state of legal residence, with the appropriate endorsements and adherence to DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
- Having the skill to operate manual transmission is preferred and might be required in certain locations
- The position mandates the capacity to converse fluently in English, interpret highway traffic signs and signals, cooperate with official inquiries, and accurately input data.
