Job Summary
In the role of a US FOODS Driver, you will be an indispensable team member and a recognizable figure representing our company. Your role will be pivotal in delivering our products to customers at their specified drop-off locations.
Roles and Duties:
- Ensure the safe transportation of goods by driving trucks to customers and meeting specified delivery deadlines
- Employ a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or physical effort to unload merchandise from the trailer and position them in the designated customer storage zones
- Validate the correctness of the delivery through customer verification and obtaining the correct signatures
- Take care of customer collections and payments when necessary
- Enhance client satisfaction through the proficient delivery of customer service responsibilities
- Ensure comprehensive evaluations of equipment pre-departure and upon return
Physical Requirements
- It is essential for individuals to be able to lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing 20 to 80+ pounds throughout the shift on a repetitive basis
- Being at ease with driving and working in inclement weather, including frequent stops (10 or more per shift), is a prerequisite
What You Bring to the Table
- Become a member of the FMCSA Clearinghouse by registering
- You need to be a minimum of 21 years of age
- An individual must hold a legitimate CDL Class A issued by their state of legal residence, complete with the required endorsements and in accordance with DOT standards
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
- Experience with manual transmission is preferred and might be mandatory in certain locations
- The job necessitates the ability to communicate effectively in English, interpret traffic signs on highways, cooperate with authorities, and input data accurately.
